Bei der Splash-Fotografie ist es wie ein Kind zu sein und sich durch das Experimentieren an den tollen Effekten zu erfreuen. Nein, im Ernst, beim Fotografieren von Gegenständen, die ins Wasser fallen, werden viele Einzelheiten entdeckt, die das bloße Auge nicht sehen kann.
Um den sogenannten Wow-Effekt zu erreichen, ist eine genaue Zusammenarbeit von Blitz und Kamera nötigt. Die kurze Belichtungszeit des Blitzes friert diesen Moment des bewegten Wassers ein und führt zu einem aufregenden Ergebnis. Es ist der Augenblick, wo das fallende Objekt auf die Wasseroberfläche trifft und das Wasser hochspritzen lässt. Im Anschluss sinkt das Objekt hinab und hinterlässt eine Spur aus Wasserwirbeln, in der Luftblasen gefangen sind. Dieser Effekt wird gerne für Magazine, Editorials und Homepages benutzt, weil es die kreative Seite der Firma betont. In meiner Arbeit benutze ich hauptsächlich natürliche Effekte wie Wasser, Rauch und das Zersplittern von Glas.
